“When you pray you discover not only yourself and God, but also your neighbour. For in prayer you profess not only that people are people and God is God, but also that your neighbour is your sister and brother living alongside you… your wounded human nature also brings you the joyful recognition that you are not alone, but that being human means being together.” -Henri Nouwen.
There will be a day in Avila on Henri Nouwen’s most famous book, “The Return of the Prodigal Son” which will be held on Saturday 26th of September and again on Sunday 27th (There are limited numbers available on the Sunday so booking essential on Sunday) You can contact the Avila Centre at 01-643-0200 for booking.
Also at Avila, please join us for a prayer journey every Monday from 7.30 -9pm.
The Lectio is every Tuesday evening in the parish room at the rear of the church.
All welcome, more information on the notice boards at the back of the church.
