The Church Bookshop is stocked up with St. Patrick's Day cards and badges.  Confirmation and First Holy Communion prayer books and rosaries, Holy Spirit emblems, statues, holy pictures and books as well as all the usual Catholic papers and magazines.

Frank Duff Prayer Group meeting on Tuesday, 25th February, from 3:00 to 4:00 pm in the parish meeting rooms.

All you who enjoy singing, dancing or just listening to music, are welcome to come along to "A Musical Evening" next Friday, 28th February from 2:15 to 4:00 pm in the Irish Charles Centre, Newbridge Avenue.  Refreshments served.  It's all free, gratis and for nothing!

First Reconciliation Meetings with parents are planned in both the Star of the Sea Boys School and Scoil Mhuire Lakelands,, on the evening of Thursday, February 27th.

A meeting of Ministers of the Eucharist and anyone interested in becoming a Minister of the Eucharist, is scheduled for Wednesday next, February 26th, 2014 at 7:30pm in the parish meeting rooms.

The Centre on Newbridge Avenue will re-open after the Christmas break on Tuesday 7th January for lunches and chair exercises.

On Thursday next, December 12th, the young people preparing for Confirmation on March 13th are invited to a Ceremony of Commitment, along with their parents and teachers, in the Church at 7:30pm,

A huge and very sincere thank you to all those who supported our fund raising Concert last Sunday.   To those who braved the elements and those who made contributions we very much appreciate your support.  We raised €5,134.00 to date and every euro raised will go directly to the project.  Many thanks, Deirdre and family.

Congratulations to the girls Gaelic Football Team in Scoil Mhuire, Lakelands, who won the Corn an Chladaigh Trophy in Croke Park Monday last!!  Well done to Mr. Clery and Mr. Hackett for leading our girls to victory.

On Sunday next November 17th, we invite the children preparing for First Communion and their parents to the 10:30am Family Mass.  It is the second of nine special Masses to be celebrated with them as part of the parish preparation this year.

Baptisms will be celebrated on December 1st, 8th, 15th and 22nd.  Baptism Application forms are available in the parish office, Monday-Friday from 9:30am to 12:30pm.  Applications, giving 1 month's notice, must be made in advance of the preparatory meeting for each month's celebrations.  The next Baptism Preparation Meeting will be held on Monday, 25th of November at 8:00pm.
